The social network Twitter will add up to 116 characters to tweets that cite others. The company responds this way to users complaints of lack of space in the messages. So far the number of characters quoted tweet was discounted from the 140 limit, which is why it was common not enough room left over to add comments.
The new feature, published last Monday, inserts the message cited with a link, and it will be seen similarly to the images. For now it is only available for Apple devices and the web version of the social network, but the San Francisco company has said it may soon also be used on Android.
This update adds to another recent: in January incorporated Recap functionality that rescues tweets considered important published while the user was disconnected. Since August 2014 followed Twitterers highlighting messages are automatically displayed.
